Hannah Berry N.H.P
Hey there! I’m Hannah Berry, your local Natural Health Practitioner, or better yet, your passionate and personal health coach. In many sports, a coach is your daily trainer, motivator, and teacher. A good coach, moreover, not only trains you, but prepares you to transfer your skills to succeed in environments where you are no longer together. As your coach, I want to teach you and motivate you to guarantee healing success not just in our months working together, but also in the years ahead when you have created habits that ensure health, without the need of intervention.
A little about me: many people remember 2020 as the year of COVID, but I remember 2020 as the year I got accepted to the United States Military Academy at West Point. I was so excited to commit to years of military service, but my dreams were cut short by the handling of Covid at the Service Academy. I left West Point in the fall of 2021, disappointed and overcome by growing symptoms. Long story short, I spent years seeing every specialist and receiving every standard scan to figure out what was wrong with me. In an effort to help, my Pastor’s wife recommended I visit a Naturopath she had seen in her youth. My dad flew me out to Missouri, and three months later I was experiencing radical changes to my health. My Naturopath asked me the most basic questions, but they were questions not one Primary Care or Specialist had asked me: What do you eat daily? How has your stress been? Can you describe your home and work life? My Naturopath wanted to understand the whole picture, so it didn’t take long for him to recognize what basic systems had fallen out of line.
After this experience, I knew I had to share with others the healing power of a whole-body, back to the basics approach. I finished my Biblical Studies degree, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Boston Baptist College, and then I set out to understand everything I could about natural health. I have since graduated from the New Eden School of Natural Health as a Natural Health Practitioner, and I am currently working toward my Doctorate in Naturopathy.
My Approach
I believe in the body’s God-given capabilities to heal itself. For centuries, medicine was based around natural techniques and family traditions. Of course, modern medicine has proved to be life-saving, especially in instances where the body has undergone trauma. However, modern medicine has failed to address the rise in chronic illness, and our medical system is more focused on pharmaceutical dependency and suppressing symptoms, rather than investigating the root cause.
So many cases of chronic illness in America could be solved via lifestyle and environment. We have become so detached from the type of life that we were biologically designed to live. Dr. Casey Means reflects, “In the modern world, a successful life looks like living inside a box, working inside a box, staring at lighted boxes, and being buried in a box.” To return to good health, we have to focus on what nurtures our cells: proper nutrition, sunlight, movement, sleep, stress-management, and creating an environment that is free of the thousands of toxins and endocrine disruptors that secretly bombard us on the daily.
My job will be to come alongside you and help create the environment your cells need to thrive. Our lifestyle and symptoms tell a story, and I want to understand your unique story and help you find healing by returning to the basics. I want to help you create a life that is nourishing for you and your family. Together, we will create lifestyle habits that are sustainable, long-lasting, and target the root cause of many diseases. You will gain confidence in understanding your body’s deepest needs as you begin to experience all those “unrelated” annoying symptoms slowly fade away!
